At the Opening Ceremonies for the US Open Donna West and Dora Stewart were announced as new members of the USLBA
Hall of Fame. John Stewart (Hall of Fame member) is shown receiving an award for his many years of outstanding service to the lawn bowls community.

FINAL DAY
A large crowd at the Bell greens watched the men's pairs finals that brought the 2009 US Open competition to a close.
Many thanks to John and Dora Stewart, Gil Stephan and Marcia Masterson for organizing the event and directing the many other volunteers who did such an outstanding job this week. We appreciate all the club members who gave up their greens
and then pitched in to help.

The men's Bowler of the Week was Michael Siddall and Jean Roney was the women's Bowler of the Week.
96 teams were entered in men's pairs.
The men's finals reflected the international composition of the field. The winners were Michel Larue & Keith Roney from Canada besting Ivan Hyland and Jim Olson from California.
